MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (June 24, 2024) – This past weekend, Orange Bowl hosted the Truist Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) Clinic presented by Palm Beach County Sports Commission at Orange Bowl Field at Glades Pioneer Park in Belle Glade. The free clinic welcomed children ages 5-14 and offered South Florida youngsters a chance to hone their football skills while learning valuable life lessons.

The instruction was led by Florida Atlantic University football coaches and players and focused on educating young athletes about proper football safety and cheerleading techniques, sportsmanship, and character development.

In line with Orange Bowl’s mission to engage with the South Florida community, the non-profit organization annually hosts a series of free youth football and cheerleading clinics over the summer to equip participants with the skills to be successful on and off the field while promoting safe playing habits.

“We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to once again host these free Truist OBYFA clinics,” said Orange Bowl Committee President & Chair Bradley D. Houser. “Investing in our young athletes fosters not only their talent but also the spirit of community and sportsmanship that defines the Orange Bowl.”

“We are proud to support this clinic and see the positive impact it has on Palm Beach County youth,” said George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. “Free events like these offer young people an invaluable opportunity to develop their skills and build character.”
