ORANGE BOWL AND CITY OF MIAMI UNVEIL MOORE PARK RENOVATION

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (May 7, 2024) – Orange Bowl and the City of Miami celebrated the re-opening of Orange Bowl Field at Moore Park during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Moore Park, located at 765 NW 36 ST, Miami 33127, was the original site of the “Palm Festival” in 1933, predecessor of the Orange Bowl Festival, now known as the Capital One Orange Bowl. The park was first renovated in 2009 in honor of the Orange Bowl Committee’s 75th anniversary.

The revitalization project, a collaborative endeavor between Orange Bowl and the City of Miami, was aimed to enhance the park’s appeal, accessibility and overall visitor experience. The approximate $1.25 million renovation included an upgraded artificial turf field and a state-of-the-art track.

“This park has been a cornerstone of our community for many years, and we are thrilled to unveil its exciting new renovations, including the resurfacing of the turf field and state-of-the-art track,” said Orange Bowl Committee President & Chair Brad Houser. “Thanks to the dedication of many partners, this park has undergone a fantastic transformation that will benefit thousands of Miami residents for many years to come, providing a safe and enjoyable space for people of all ages to gather.”

The grand reopening of Orange Bowl Field at Moore Park exemplifies Orange Bowl’s commitment to serving and enhancing the South Florida community through its Orange Bowl Cares initiative.
