ORANGE BOWL COMMITTEE NAMES BRAD STRICKLIN AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

SUCCEEDS LONGTIME CFO BRIAN PARK


MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – (October 21, 2024) – The Orange Bowl Committee (OBC), a South Florida-based nonprofit sports organization, announced today that Brad Stricklin will join the leadership team as chief financial officer and succeeds Brian Park, a valued member of the Orange Bowl organization, who is retiring after 22 years of dedicated service since joining in 2003. In this role, Stricklin will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the OBC.

Stricklin’s career in college athletics administration has been marked by a strong focus on financial management and strategic leadership. He has successfully overseen the financial operations of major athletic programs at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Central Florida (UCF), demonstrating his ability to manage complex budgets, forecast financial trends, and mitigate risks. His experience also includes strategic planning, facility development, and contract negotiations, showcasing his ability to drive growth and innovation within athletic departments.

Beyond his financial expertise, Brad has demonstrated his leadership skills through roles such as interim athletics director at UCF. In this position, he successfully navigated key challenges, including negotiating media rights agreements, managing coaching transitions, and overseeing fundraising initiatives. His ability to lead and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders has been instrumental in his success.

His extensive experience in financial management and strategic leadership will be invaluable as we continue our mission of positively impacting South Florida through the annual Capital One Orange Bowl game, other key events and our Orange Bowl Cares community outreach programs. As we look towards our exciting future, we also want to recognize and thank longtime CFO Brian Park for his outstanding contributions and exceptional service to the Orange Bowl Committee over the past 22 years.”

A proud native of Laurel, Miss., Stricklin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., and his master’s degree in sport management from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga.
